Mark Avery Moore, 59, died Thursday, April 12, 2018. Born in Kings Mountain, NC, he was a son of Monzell Simmons Moore of Kings Mountain, NC and the late Bobby Gene Moore. He was a 1977 graduate of Kings Mountain High School and a 1982 graduate of Clemson University. He was a member of Cheraw First Baptist Church, and past Scoutmaster of Boy Scouts of America Troop 655. He was an avid photographer of weddings and sports, especially Cheraw Braves and Clemson Tigers, often submitting his work to the local newspaper, The Link. He enjoyed history and cycling.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Upchurch Moore of Cheraw, SC, a son, Bradley Alexander Moore of Charleston, SC, a daughter, Stephanie Ava Moore of Greer SC, his mother, listed above, a sister, Sharon (Jeff) Stephens of Huntersville, NC, sisters-in-law, Libbie Upchurch of Kings Mountain, NC, and Penny Hamrick of Grover, NC, a brother-in-law, David Upchurch of Salisbury, NC, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father listed above and a son, Chadwick Benjamin Moore.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM-4:00 PM, Sunday, April 15, 2018 in the foyer of Cheraw First Baptist Family Life Center.

A funeral service will be held 4:00 PM, Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Cheraw First Baptist Family Life Center.

Burial will be in Old St. David’s Cemetery, Cheraw, SC.
