Amelia (Amy) Claire Smith, 57, passed away peacefully Saturday December 19,2020. Born in McRae, GA May 20, 1963 she was the beloved daughter of the late Roy Lee Smith, Sr and Dorothy Grimsley Smith. She was raised in Cheraw, SC where she was a member of First United Methodist Church. Amy was a devoted member of the church where she enjoyed serving in Children Ministries, assisting with the annual barbeque, and many other areas of the church.  For many years, Amy worked at B.C. Moores and Sons in Cheraw before moving to Greenville, SC where she enjoyed working at Hobby Lobby. Amy enjoyed spending time with her friends, family, and watching the Clemson Tigers play.

Amy will be lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters Roy Lee Smith Jr. (Donna) of Six Mile, SC, Leland Alan Smith (Vickie) of Aiken, SC, Margery Corinne Smith of Greenville,SC, and Dorothy Marie Smith of Greenville, SC, nieces and nephews Lauren Smith Ammermann (Taylor), Megan Cassidy Smith Ledbetter (Jeremiah), Savannah Lee Smith, Joel Alan Smith, and Ashley Claire Smith, great nieces and nephews Lily Grace Ledbetter, Caleb James Ledbetter, and Mims Brett Ammermann.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, December 28, 2020 in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens, Cheraw, SC. The Family will receive friends following the service.

Donations in memory of Amy may be made to First United Methodist Church 117 Third Street Cheraw, South Carolina 29520.
