Mrs. Carlene Bonds, 82, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022.  Born, June 2, 1939, in Richmond County, NC, Carlene was a daughter of the late Willie Jack and Sarah Smith Chavis.  She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and siblings.  Carlene was a loving sister, caring aunt, and amazing grandmother.

Along with her parents, listed above, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Bonds, and her son, George Bonds.

Carlene leaves behind to cherish her memory, her brothers, Larry Chavis of Columbia, SC, and Tim Chavis and wife, Sharon of Columbia, SC; a sister, Carolyn Bowen of Irmo, SC; and a grandson, Matthew Bonds and wife, Katie of Camden, SC.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Sandhills Wesleyan Methodist Church in Bennettsville, SC.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. just prior to the service on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Sandhills Wesleyan Methodist Church in Bennettsville, SC.
