Carol Dwain Berry, 66, died Thursday, August 23, 2018. Born in Bennettsville, SC, he was a son of the late Jimmie Lee and Emma Jean Berry. Dwain was a member of Cheraw First Baptist Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher, in Men’s Ministry, and the Release Program. He often volunteered to serve as a bus driver for church functions and in the church nursery. As a former member of Eunity Baptist Church he served as a deacon, choir member and a youth leader. He was a member of the Lion’s Club. He worked many years as an Area Manager for Fresenius Medical Care, but had most recently been enjoying an active retirement, and most favorite job – as “Graddy.”

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ashcraft Berry of the home, a son, Darit Anthony Berry of Cheraw, SC, a daughter, Terri Ashcraft (Jeremy) Keller of Fort Mill, SC, a brother, Kerry Lee (Michelle) Berry of Cheraw, SC and grandchildren, Trent Avin Berry, Ashlee Claire Keller, Henry Luke Keller, Lauren Elizabeth Keller and Charles Andrew Keller.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, and a daughter, Pamela Lynn Ashcraft.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 26, 2018 in Cheraw First Baptist Family Life Center.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday August 26, 2018 at Cheraw First Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.
