A graveside funeral service to honor her life will be held at 2 o'clock on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in Harris Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, with The Rev. Jim Murray officiating. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service.
Mrs. Keith was born on Saturday, March 21, 1931, in Chesterfield County, SC. She is the daughter of the late Sandy Linton Tucker and the late Maude Freeman Tucker. Affectionately known by many as “Coot,” she was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband Harlod Keith and her children Clara Louise Keith, Jesse Keith, Jake Keith, and Janie Mae Keith. She is survived by her children Sammy Keith, Ira “Pokey” Keith and Mickey Lockey, along with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss her deeply.
Charlotte was a woman of many passions. She found great joy in tending to her garden, where she spent countless hours growing some of the best fruits and vegetables and cultivating beautiful flowers that brightened everyone’s day. Her love for gardening reflected her nurturing spirit and deep connection to nature.
Beyond her green thumb, Charlotte had a special place in her heart for music, particularly the songs of Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson. She could often be found humming along to their tunes; her love for their music was a reflection of her vibrant and joyful personality.
Charlotte's warmth, kindness, and her ability to make everyone feel loved will forever be remembered. She leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and the simple joys of life that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace.
