Christopher Douglas Hydrick, 48, died Thursday, February 21, 2019. Born in Columbia, SC he was the son of Barry Douglas Hydrick of Cheraw, SC and Joy Lynn Bates (Wayne) Lynch of Lynchburg, SC. He attended First Presbyterian Church, Cheraw, SC. Mr. Hydrick was an industrial electrician at Palmetto Brick.

Surviving is his wife, Meredith Rogers Hydrick of Cheraw, SC, daughters, Elizabeth Anne Hydrick and Bayley Edith Hydrick both of Cheraw, SC, sisters, Kimberly Hydrick (Bill) Cauthen of Cheraw, SC and Celeste Hydrick (David) Hatch of Anderson, SC, also several nieces and nephews.

Chris was a loving and devoted husband and father, cherishing every moment with his family. His generosity and genuine spirit of love and support for others was the dominate characteristic of his life. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

The family will receive friends 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, February 24, 2019 at First Presbyterian Church, Cheraw, SC.

Burial will be in St. David’s Cemetery, Cheraw, SC.

Memorials made be made to: The McArn Food Bank, 131 Second Street, Cheraw, SC 29520.
