Connie Lynn Ringger Smith

Connie Lynn Ringger Smith, 75, peacefully passed away on April 2, 2025. She was born in Provo, UT to the late Martha and William Ringger, Jr.

Connie was a proud Vietnam Veteran, having served her country as a Corpsman in the US Navy. Her deep love for her country was evident throughout her life; she often expressed her gratitude to fellow service members, honoring their sacrifices and dedication.

A member of Place of Grace Church in Rockingham, NC, Connie was actively involved in her community, particularly through her service in their soup kitchen. Professionally, she made a significant impact as a dedicated and hardworking probation officer in Arkansas, known for her no-nonsense attitude, but truly caring for those she served.

In her personal life, Connie had a passion for farming and traveling, always seeking new adventures. When at home, she cherished simple joys—spending time with her beloved cats, playing pinochle, fishing, and creating cherished memories with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Jesse (Ashley) Smith of Little Rock, AR; her daughter, Misti Laurel (Michael) Bullock of Bennettsville, SC; her brother, Bruce (Gwenn) Ringger of New Zealand; her sister, Janice (Lou) Schacter of Indianapolis, IN; and her grandchildren, Brody, Emma Grace, Ava, and Madison.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, James E. Smith.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Place of Grace Church, located at 252 School Street, Rockingham, NC 28379. A memorial service, honoring her life and military service, will follow at 4:00 PM on the same day.
