Dorothy Virginia Matheson Brown, 88, died Wednesday, May 09, 2018.  Born in Cheraw, SC she was a daughter of the late John Culpepper and Rosa Mae Tyson Matheson.  She was a current member of Northside Baptist Church, West Columbia, SC.  Mrs. Brown enjoyed art, sewing and exercised her gift of hospitality.

Surviving is her husband, Wilson Taylor Brown of Clemson, SC, a son, Lynn Brown of Auburn, AL, a daughter, Kathy Haile of Clemson, SC, a brother, Billy Matheson of Marietta, GA, along with six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents listed above, also, brothers, Leslie Matheson, Roy Matheson, David Matheson, Elliott Matheson, Jesse “Dock” Matheson, Ernest Matheson and sisters, Rosa Mae Craft, Clara Matheson and Lillie Wallace.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Friday, May 11, 2018 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May 11, 2018 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.  Burial will be in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.
