Edgar Wayne Chavis, 61, died Wednesday, October 21, 2015. Born in Hamlet, NC he was a son of the late Willie Jack and Sarah Smith Chavis. He enjoyed working on washing machines and dryers in his spare time.

Mr. Chavis is survived by his wife Norma Chavis of Rockingham, NC, a son, Jackson W. Chavis of Rockingham, NC, daughters, Autumn S. Chavis, Angela D. Chavis Gomez, and Joni C. Chavis, Lori M. Brown of Rockingham, NC, brothers, Timothy Chavis of Dentsville, SC, and Larry W. Chavis, South Congaree, SC, sisters, Carlene Bonds of Wallace, SC, and Carolyn Bowen of Lexington, SC, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Kiser Funeral Home Chapel, Cheraw, SC.
