Eva Walters

Mrs. Eva Mae Walters, 94, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021.  Born, in Wallace, SC, on March 29, 1927 she was a daughter of the late Walter Lee and Hettie Roscoe Haire.  Mrs. Walters was a Charter Member of White’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Wallace, SC and a homemaker who loved her family dearly.  She also enjoyed playing the piano, singing, crocheting, puzzles, and gardening her flowers.

Along with her parents, listed above, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Francis Everette Walters; a son, Carlton Gene Walters, a daughter, Sandra Gail Hall; brothers, Alan Haire, Wilson Haire, and Baxter Haire; sisters, Laura McLendon, Evelyn Roberts, Elaine Haire, and Bernice Oxendine.

Mrs. Walters leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons, JT Haire (Evelyn) of Bennettsville, SC, William Walters (Kay) of Bennettsville, SC, Charles Louvet of Thomasville, NC, and Michael DeHart of Arizona; daughters, Kathy Walters, of Bennettsville, SC, Karen Spaul of High Point, NC, and Tanya Garcia of Wallace, SC; sisters, Doris Haire of Wallace, SC, and Louise Rivers of Wallace, SC; nineteen grandchildren; and twenty three great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at White’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Wallace.  Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at White’s Creek Baptist Church in Wallace, SC, and other time at the home of William and Kay Walters, 305 Wilder Road West, Bennettsville, SC 29512.
