Evelyn H. Roberts, 83, died Sunday, May 24, 2015. Born in Bennettsville, SC she was a daughter of the late Walter L and Hettie Roscoe Haire. She was the widow of Prentice Roberts. She was a member of White’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church where she had 19 years of perfect attendance. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed going to church and being a choir leader.

Surviving are her daughters, Joanne R. Bailey of Wallace, SC, Sandra Nuttall of Wallace, SC, Marcella Crocker of Raleigh, NC, a daughter-in-law, Linda P Roberts of Wallace, SC, sisters, Elaine Haire, Doris Haire, Louise Rivers, Eva Walters all of Wallace, SC, Burnice Oxindine of Lauringburg, NC, eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband listed above, also, a son, Preston Roberts, brothers, Baxter Haire, Alton Haire, Sr., Wilson Haire and a sister, Laura McLendon.

The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, May 25, 2015 at White’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church, Wallace, SC.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at White’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church, Wallace, SC. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
