Faith Jost

Cheraw, SC

Faith Eloise Skye was born to us, her mommy and daddy, on August 12, 2022. We were delighted to have another little girl, a sister for Freyya. 

Her short life was all a big miracle, and we were able to bring her home from the hospital just 11 days after she was born.  

God blessed us with almost two months of very normal newborn days; no oxygen lines, feeding tubes, or medications. 

We knew she was a miracle baby, so we tried to enjoy every moment to the fullest with her, and even then, our time just felt too short. 

Her chubby cheeks, dimpled chin, and rosebud lips were just irresistible. Even Freyya had learned to take Faith’s cheeks in her hands and lovingly squeeze them.  She showered baby Faith with kisses and was always very ready to cover Faith with another blanket or offer her a bottle or pacifier.  

Faith surprised her doctors when she remained stable throughout a virus.  We were so hopeful that she would soon have her first of multiple surgeries to fix her heart, but God decided to heal her heart completely by bringing her home to heaven. 

She passed suddenly while in her momma’s arms on October 13, 2022. 

It will always be special to us that she smiled for her momma and daddy both just a couple hours before she went to be with Jesus. 

Left with shattered hearts and so many broken dreams are her daddy and momma, Gregory and Georgina Jost and big sister Freyya Meadow Anne.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church in Cheraw, SC.  Burial will follow in Cheraw Mennonite Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Kiser Funeral Home in Cheraw, SC.

We would like to say a huge thanks to everyone who has prayed for us, and for baby Faith’s health.  Thank you to all who have showed your love and support through this difficult time. 

A special thanks to Dr Steflik and the rest of Faith’s cardiology team, for giving her the best care, and doing the very best they could for Faith.
