Harry Haun

 Mr. Harry Haun, 87, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Harry was born on September 16, 1936, in Stephens City, VA, to the late Harry Haun, Sr. and Hazel Blue Haun. He was the widower of his wife, Marolyn Sellers Haun, who sadly passed away only a few days before him. During his life, Mr. Haun served with distinction in the U.S. Navy for approximately 9 years, primarily on Sea Duty. His commitment to duty and service were evident throughout his military career as he served his country with honor. In recognition of his dedication and contribution to the Navy, Harry received an Honorable Discharge in 1962. Harry enjoyed working in his yard. He liked spending most of his time outdoors. Harry was a member of the B&B Hunting Club. Above all else, Harry cherished his family dearly and found immense happiness in their presence. His greatest joy came from spending quality time with them and creating lasting memories together. Harry will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his commitment to serving his country honorably, and his passion for the great outdoors. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Harry is predeceased by his parents and wife listed above, his first wife, Mary Frances Haun; his son, Fred Allan (Buddy) Haun; his sisters, Mary Luttrel and Helen Luttrel.

Harry is survived by his son, Harry Lee Haun, III (Patti) of Georgetown, SC; his daughter, Wanda Smith (Chris) of Cheraw, SC; step-sons, Glen Lampley (Kathy Lee) and Tim Lampley both of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Kelley Hyatt, Lauren Sims (Josh), Erik Sims (Jordan); great-grandchildren, Sophia, Mason, Aria, Natalie, Oliver, Grayson, Lillian; his sisters, Ruth Marre (Mike), Barbara Johnson, and Peggy Barrow; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00PM to 1:00PM at Kiser Funeral Home on Thursday, January 25, 2024. 

A funeral service will follow at 1:00PM on Thursday, January 25, 2024 in the Chapel of Kiser Funeral Home. 

Burial will follow in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens, Cheraw, South Carolina. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33^rd Street New York, New York 10016-5337.
