Jackie McDougald

Mrs. Jackie Adams McDougald, 88, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.  Born, January 22, 1933 in Cheraw, SC she was a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Adams and the late Juanita Grant Adams.  Jackie was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.  She worked for Delta in Cheraw for many years as an administrative assistant, leaving there to devote her time to taking care of her children and family as they were her main priority in life. In later years, she was the manager of the Cheraw Theatre for several years.  Jackie loved spending time with her children and grandchildren who were the loves of her life, and she also loved watching the Atlanta Braves play baseball. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, and growing and caring for her house plants.

Along with her parents, listed above, Jackie was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie “Chris” McDougald Bailey; and a sister, Kathryn Adams Kimrey.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Richard McDougald of Cheraw, SC; a daughter, Kathy McDougald Johnson and her husband, Michael Ross Johnson of Cheraw, SC; and grandchildren, Brandon M. McDougald and Jack W. Johnson both of Cheraw, SC.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Saint David’s Church in Cheraw.  Burial will follow at Saint David’s Cemetery in Cheraw.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Kiser Funeral Home in Cheraw, SC.
