James Atkinson

James Kenneth Atkinson , 69, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013.  Born in Jefferson, SC he was a son of the late James Owen "Runt" and Marie Elizabeth Middleton Atkinson.  He was retired from Sonoco in Hartsville, SC.  He enjoyed the outdoors, dogs and restoring old cars.

Surviving are his son, Darryl Atkinson of McBee, SC, daughters, Kathy A. Horton of Jefferson, SC, Brigitte McAteer of McBee, SC, grandchild, Hannah Horton of Jefferson, brothers, John O. (Susan) Atkinson of Cheraw, SC, Neal (Mamie) Atkinson of Columbia, SC and former spouse Ann Atkinson of McBee, SC.

The family will receive friends 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM Friday, January 25, 2013 at Macedonia Baptist Church, Jefferson, SC.  A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Friday, January 25, 2013 at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Jefferson, SC.
