James Clarke, Sr.

Mr. James Edgar “Jimmy” Clarke, Sr., 78, died on Thursday, April 1, 2021.  Born, February 27, 1943 in Cheraw, SC, he was the son of the late Houston Clark and the late Frances Lee Wood Clark Pegram.  Mr. Clarke served our country proudly in The United States Air Force and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant.

Along with his parents, listed above, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sharron K. Clarke.

Mr. Clarke leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son, James Edgar Clarke, Jr. of Statesville, NC; his daughter, Jacqueline Eden Clarke of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Hadley (Jarrett) Leviner, Ashley (Jay) Rumple, and Stephen Clarke; four great-grandchildren; his first wife, the mother of his children, Amanda M. Vrablic; and a longtime friend who he considered his brother, Douglas Laflin of Summerville, SC.

A funeral service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Kiser Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. just prior to the service at the funeral home.
