James "Jimmy" Durant Parker, Sr.

James “Jimmy” Durant Parker, Sr., 70, died Thursday, June 14, 2018. Born in Hartsville, SC, he was a son of Myrtle Turner Parker of Cheraw, SC and the late Lonnie Legette Parker, Sr. He was a member of Greater White Creek Church of Wallace, SC and the Wallace VFW. He was an avid Gamecock fan, NASCAR fan and enjoyed gospel music.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Smith Parker of the home, sons, James Durant (Elizabeth) Parker, Jr. of Greer, SC, R.J. (Candace) Kelly of Wallace, SC, daughters, Amy (Curtis) Myers of Wallace, SC, Shannon Kelly of Cheraw, SC, his mother listed above, brothers, Jackie (Mott) Parker of Edisto Island, SC, Bucky (Cathy) Parker of Cheraw, SC, Dean (Denise) Parker of Marion, SC, a sister-in-law, Joan Parker of Bennettsville, SC and grandchildren, Ashton and Anyah Myers, Emily Parker, Cash Martel, and Hannah and Haley Kelly.

He was preceded in death by his father listed above and a brother, Lonnie Legette Parker, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

Burial will follow at Grant-Turner Cemetery at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Bennettsville, SC.
