Janet Sue “Susie” Brock, 62, died Wednesday, November 4, 2020. Born in Wadesboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late Sally and Lamar Baker, Sr. She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. She worked for many years in the textile industry for Cheraw Dyeing and Finishing and Cone Mills. There were few things she loved more than enjoying a good meal and a laugh with her family and friends. She loved watching the hummingbirds on her back porch, baking homemade cakes and throwing the tennis ball to her favorite furry friend, Sammy. Her smile lit up a room. She will be eternally loved and missed by all those who knew her, especially by her two sons who meant the world to her.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Brock, of the home, sons, Curtis (Jenny) Melton, of Wallace, SC, Ryan (Natalie) Melton, of Cheraw, SC, and Jimmy (Virginia) Coombes of Jefferson, SC, a daughter Lisa (Manny) Ryan, of DeFuniak Springs, FL, brothers, Lamar (Nancy) Baker, Jr, of Society Hill, SC and Larry Baker of Hartsville, SC, and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents listed above.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Kiser Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, November 6, 2020 at Harris Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Society Hill, SC.
