J.P. Phillips

J.P. Phillips, Jr., 84, died Sunday, May 24, 2015. Born in McFarlan, NC he was a son of the late James Peter and Clara Ingram Phillips, and the widower of Gretchen Mullen Phillips. He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, McFarlan, NC. He was an executive with Becker, Sand and Gravel Company for many years and was retired from Palmetto Brick.  Mr. Phillips was a US Army Veteran.

Survivors are a son, Drew Phillips of Woodland Hills, CA, daughters, Erin (Tommy) Pate of Georgetown, SC, Dana Phillips of Mt. Pleasant, SC, also, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife listed above, also, a brother, Calvin Phillips and a sister, Margaret Moffitt.

The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM, Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens, Cheraw, SC.
