Kenneth Wilson Broadwater, Jr., 73, peacefully went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2017. He was born in Hannah, Wyoming December 30, 1943 to the late Kenneth Wilson Broadwater, Sr. and Dolly G. Broadwater Linvell.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Brigman Broadwater, daughter, Shannon Halma (Keith Helms) of Wallace, SC, sons, Mike (Anne) Broadwater of Wallace, SC, Keith (Tammy) Broadwater of Bradenton, FL, nine grandchildren, Dylan, Tyler, Kenny, Michael, Abigail, Amanda, Chea, Trisha, and Giuliano, five great-grandchildren, a God-child Sophie Grace, sister-in-law, Elaine (Shuford III) Quick, brother-in-law, L.W. (Nancy) Brigman. He is also survived by five of his siblings, Don Broadwater, Raymond Linvell, Mary Louise Howard, Mollie Everett and Sandy Carter, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. He was also an avid gunsman and had a passion for nature. He spent hours observing local deer, ducks and rabbits run wild in his back yard. He was the proprietor of Broadwater’s Wrecker Service for many years where he enjoyed fellowship with friends and family. But his true passion in life was being Papa to his grandchildren and two puppies Suzie and Ginger. Despite all of the trials life threw his way he refused to accept them as a disability. His determination and will always outshined his challenges.

The family invites all of Ken’s friends to come and celebrate his life with them. Visitation will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, February 2, 2017 at New Hope United Methodist Church, 6761 Hwy 1 N., Wallace, SC 29596.

A funeral service will be held 4:00 PM, Thursday, February 2, 2017 at New Hope United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
