Lee Knight

Ansel Lee Knight, 80, died Saturday, April 23, 2016. Born in Bennettsville, SC he was a son of the late John Willis and Mary Morris Knight. He was a US Navy Veteran. Mr. Knight was a very active member of Cheraw First Baptist Church. He volunteered with the men’s group of the church for special projects, such as, building ramps, drama sets and vacation bible school activities. Mr. Knight believed in putting his Christian faith in action. He would make house hold repairs for the widows and widowers of the church.

His survivors include a son, Bryan Lee (Cyndee) Griggs of Chapin, SC, a daughter, Karen Lynn Knight, GA, granddaughters, Savannah McClain Griggs, Logan Matheson Griggs and a nephew, Bobby Roberts of Wallace, SC.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, a brother, George Willis Knight and a sister, Margaret Ann Roberts.

A celebration of life will be held 3:00 PM, Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC. The family will receive friends following the service.
