Mr. Leroy Manton Cheek, Jr., 65, died on Friday, October 21, 2022.  Born, December 27, 1956, in Marlboro County, SC, he was the son of the late Leroy Manton “Buddy” Cheek Sr. and the late Hazel Lenora Wiggins Cheek.  Leroy worked for Delta Mills and Carolina Canners.

Along with his parents, listed above, he was preceded in death by his sisters, J. Victoria Smith, and Phyllis Butler.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife Peggy Hatcher of the home; a son, Leroy M. Cheek, III (Lynn) of Chesterfield, SC; a daughter, Crystal Michelle Cheek of Wallace, SC; sisters, Deborah Dixon of Patrick, SC, and Agenia Quick of Bennettsville, SC; grandchildren, Taylor Cheek (Perk), Lorina Steen (Miranda), Audrey Cheek (Andrew), Krista Cheek (Patrick), Madalin Cheek (Keith), Leroy Cheek IV, John Michael Cheek, and Thomas Key, Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Isley Elease Steen, and John Wayne Maultsby.

No services are planned at this time.
