Louise "Weiser" Holmstead

Cornelia Louise “Weiser” Holmstead, 83, died Tuesday, March 24, 2020. Born in Rockingham NC, she was a daughter of the late James and Ada Broome. She was a member of Emmanuel Holiness Church in Rockingham, NC. She was recognized as Employee of the Month Award during her service of 40 years to Chesterfield General Hospital. Mrs. Holmstead loved to work and would help anyone. She also loved her church family and worshiped her granddaughter and great-grandchildren.

Surviving is her daughter Susan Blackmon (Michael E.) Aiken of Bennettsville, SC, granddaughter, Heather Goins (Dr. Steven Dale) Millen, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents listed above, brothers, Harmon Broome, Jim Whitaker, Rev. John Whitaker, sisters, Irene Guinn and Mary Hatcher.

Due to concerns for everyone’s health, safety and well-being, the family has chosen the option of holding a memorial service at a later date.

The family wishes to thank Sally Jackson for her loving care. We also want to recognize a special niece Cathey McLain.
