Mary Moody

Mary Ann Moody, 73, went to her heavenly home on September 2, 2021 at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center. Born, August 15, 1948, she was the daughter of the late   J. Neil “Son” and Elizabeth Chavis Steen. Mary Ann was a loving and devoted mother, wife grandparent and sibling. She attended Wallace Holiness Church. She was a homemaker and she loved visiting the beautiful mountains.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Moody of the home, daughter Angela (Randy) Rollins, Vanessa (Charlie) Dowdy, grandchildren, Brandy “Nicci” Boan, Courtney (Phillip) Skipper, great grandchildren, Emma Grace Turner, Steven James Turner, step grandchildren, Web Skipper, Khloe Skipper, sisters, Doris (Jerry) Kennedy of Raeford, NC, Kathy Outlaw of Bennettsville, SC, Nell (Sonny) Byrd of McColl, Gary Steen of Bennettsville, SC, also several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents listed above, also brothers, Bryant Steen, Wes Steen, Gene Steen, James Steen, Charles Steen, Bruce Steen, Bobbie Steen, sisters, Helen Tilley and Peggy Watson.

The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

Due to Covid-19, the family requests that all family and friends attending the visitation, please wear face coverings.  The funeral home will provide face coverings to those who do not have one.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 5, 2021 in Chavis Cemetery, Bennettsville, SC.
