Melvin R. Jennings, 81, died Tuesday, November 17, 2015. Born in Burnside, NY, he was a son of the late Melvin R. Sr. and Agnes Cowein Jennings. He was a brick mason with the Labor Local #17 of Newburgh, NY. Mr. Jennings enjoyed woodworking.

He is preceded in death by his parents listed above and his wife, Beverly Mae Campbell Jennings.

He is survived by a son, Jeff Allen Jennings of Cheraw, SC, a daughter, Joyce Sutton of Cheraw, SC, brothers, Donald Jennings of Walden, NY, Ivan Jennings of Maybrook, NY, and Robert Jennings of Cartersville, GA, grandchildren, Jennifer Sutton, Rachel M. Brown, Taurean Jennings, and Tyler Jennings all of Cheraw, SC, and great-grandchildren, Jaonte, Damarion, Malik, and Kiera all of Cheraw, SC.
