Nerlita Tequin Sanz

Nerlita Tequin Sanz, age 78, passed away on January 31, 2025. She was born on August 1, 1946, in Masbate, Philippines, to the late Feliculo Luna Tequin and Natalia Ramos Villamor Tequin.

 A dedicated and compassionate professional, Nerlita served as a Registered Nurse for over 50 years, contributing her expertise in various locations including Libya, the Philippines, and the United States. Her commitment to her vocation reflected her caring nature and desire to help others. Nerlita was of the Catholic faith and found joy in many aspects of life, especially shopping and listening to Elvis Presley. Above all, her greatest happiness stemmed from her family. She devoted herself to the care of her late husband, Antonio Sanz, and her son, Noli Sanz, and continued to nurture her cherished grandchildren following their passing.

 Along with her parents, listed above, Nerlita was preceded in death by her loving husband, Antonio Sanz; her son Noli Sanz; a brother, Felixberto Tequin; and an infant sister, Juanita Tequin.

 Nerlita leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sisters, Nora Alicante, Natalia Revilla, Nilda Pasay, Natalia Tequin, II, and Nerissa Miller; grandchildren, Kathleen Sanz, Camille Sanz, and Carlo Sanz; a great-granddaughter, MJ Sanz; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Sanz; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

 A memorial service to honor Nerlita’s life will be held 11:00 am Friday, February 7, 2025, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Cheraw, SC. 

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to a charity of one’s choice.

 Kiser Funeral Home has been entrusted to serve the Sanz family in their time of grief.
