Patricia “Pat” Brooks Quick, 73, died Saturday, November 4, 2017. Born in Marlboro County she was the daughter of the late Oliver James and Frances Jacobs Brooks. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Wallace, SC. Ms. Quick was voted best dressed by her high school class (Wallace High 1963). She had been a loving daycare teacher at First United Methodist Church Day Care Center for 30 years. Through the years she has invested in the community by helping to shape young lives and by teaching values that instill a lifetime of learning and giving.  She loved spending time with her family and was a devoted caretaker for her mother. She enjoyed romantic comedies and visiting the mountains.

Surviving are her sons, Michael Irvin Quick and his wife Minnie Quick of Clayton, NC, James Edward Quick and his wife Dr. Angela Quick of Willow Springs, NC, William Terry Quick of Cheraw, SC, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, November 6, 2017 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Wallace, SC. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
