Phillip “Phil” Walker Boan, 64, died Saturday, June 13, 2015. Born in Cheraw, SC he was a son of the late Ira Walker and Willie Mae Curry. He was a member of Woodman of the World. He enjoyed softball, basketball, collecting coins, Civil War Memorabilia including newspapers and paper money. He was an avid history buff.

Surviving is his wife, Evelyn Marze Boan of Patrick, SC, a son, Jonathan (Sarah) Boan of Patrick, SC, a sister, Gloria Copeland (Michael) Butler of Cheraw, SC, grandchildren, Tempest Boan, Aryanna Boan, Adalynn Boan, Hailey Boan, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friend 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM, Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC. Burial will be in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens, Cheraw, SC.
