David Ronald “Ronnie” McLain, 57, was born February 2, 1960 in Columbia, SC, and entered into rest on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. He was a son of Eugene McLain of Patrick, SC and the late Emma Jean Polk McLain. He was the owner of Small Engine Sales and made custom engines for racing, i.e. go-carts, lawn mowers and motorcycles. Ronnie enjoyed fishing, NASCAR racing, planting trees and gardening. His primary enjoyment was found in putting his family first.

Surviving is his wife of 37 years, Jan Teal McLain of Cheraw, SC, daughters, Sarah McLain (fiancé, Chandler Huggins) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Lauren McLain of Columbia, SC, his father listed above, and a brother, Todd (Mona) McLain of Patrick, SC.

He was preceded in death by his mother listed above and a daughter, Jacquelyn McLain.

The family will receive friends 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Maranatha Family Center, Cheraw, SC.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Maranatha Family Center, Cheraw, SC.
