Rudelle Phillips

Mrs. Rudelle Crould Phillips, 96, died on Monday, December 27, 2021.  Born, December 17, 1925 in Cheraw, SC she was a daughter of the late Charles James and Victoria Bryant Crould.  Rudelle was a member of Cheraw First Baptist Church in Cheraw, SC, and enjoyed cooking, reading, and sewing.  She and her late mother enjoyed quilting together, making at least two quilts per winter.  Mrs. Phillips also enjoyed watching the news and keeping up with the current events with her late husband.

Along with her parents, listed above, Rudelle was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, James Calvin Phillips, Sr.; a grandson, Brian Phillips; two sisters, and two brothers.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons, James Calvin Phillips, Jr. and wife, Catherine of Cheraw, SC and Richard Phillips and wife Mollie of Cheraw, SC; a daughter, Donna Cassidy of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, James Calvin Phillips, III, Emily English, Rem Phillips, Ryan Phillips, and Rena Phillips; and 8 great-grandchildren.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 2, 2021 at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens in Cheraw, SC.
