Rudolph Melton, 89, died Saturday, July 18, 2015. Born in Chesterfield, SC he was a son of the late Theo and Lilly Boatwright Melton. He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Wallace, SC. He was a retired painter.

Surviving is his wife, Celia Wilks Melton of the home, a son, Thomas F. Melton of Huntsville, AL,  brothers, T.L. Melton of Rockingham, NC, James Melton of CA, a sister, Elma Cassidy of Cheraw, SC, grandchildren, Thomas Melton, Jr, Sherri Polyak, great grandchildren, Haley Rabon, Reagan Melton, Kennedy Melton, TJ Melton, Hadley Melton and Maddie Swaid.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, a grandson Chad Melton, brothers, May Melton, Thurman Melton and a sister, Annie Lee Stafford.

The family will receive friends 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC

Burial will be in Chatham Hill Memorials Gardens, Cheraw, SC.
