Sarah Frances Gathings, 80, died Friday, November 28, 2014. Born in Bennettsville, SC she was a daughter of the late John Wesley and Ida McDougald Quick. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Wallace, SC. She enjoyed baking cakes, crossword puzzles and spending time with grandchildren.

Surviving is her husband Harold Gathings, sons, William H. Gathings, Keith (Joyce) Gathings all of Cheraw, SC, brothers, Rufus Quick of Cheraw, SC, Bo Quick of St. Paul, NC, a sister, Mae Quick of Cheraw, SC, grandchildren John and Michaela Gathings.

She was preceded in death by her parents listed above and a grandchild, Tyler Gathings.

The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC. Burial will be at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.
