Shannon Marie Laney, 48, died Tuesday, January 26, 2021. Born in Cheraw, SC she was the daughter of Robbie and Karan H. Laney of Cheraw, SC. She taught gymnastics in Rock Hill and Cheraw, SC. She was an avid runner and enjoyed the outdoors.

Surviving is her daughter, Juliana Laney of Cheraw, SC, her parents listed above, grandmother, Carol Harrell, aunts and uncles, Teresa Roller of Manning, SC, Ruth “Tootise” (John) Holmes of Dallas, TX and Sheree (Bob) Elick of Foley, AL.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jonathan Laney.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Cheraw First Baptist Church, Cheraw, SC. There will be a private committal service following the service.
