Shirley Pierce Taylor , formerly of Cheraw, SC, 74, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Born in Cheraw, SC she was a daughter of the late William Fred and Thelma Ruth Harding Pierce. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church, Cheraw, SC. She was the owner of Balloons, Flowers and Gifts in Cheraw, SC. She enjoyed cooking and talking. She loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are her sons, Buddy (Laura) White, Jr. of Florence, SC, Joe (Mary) Taylor of Cheraw, SC, daughters, Mary (Michael) Elizabeth Dixon of Patrick, SC, Vicki (Jerry) Burr of Darlington, SC, sisters, Marvelle (Tony) Hancock of Cheraw, SC, Ruthie Freeman of Fountain Inn, SC, a sister-in-law, Adelia Pierce of Cheraw, SC, twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents listed above, also, brothers, Joe Pierce, Charlie Pierce and Freddie Pierce.

The family will receive friends 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, January 18, 2013 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Midway Baptist Church, Cheraw, SC. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
