Sue Hendrix McManus, died Sunday, October 1, 2017. Born in Hartsville, SC she was a daughter of the late Eli Hugh and Eula Edelle Gainey Hendrix. She was the widow of W.S. “Stafford” McManus. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Cheraw, SC. Mrs. McManus was owner and designer of Sue’s Florist for 53 years.

Surviving is her son, Ray (Debbie) McManus of Cheraw, SC, daughters, Norma G. Cobb of Cheraw, SC, Mattie G. (Kenneth) Thomas of Patrick, SC, Jean M. (Carl) Wissinger of Pineville, NC, a brother, Bobby “Bill” Hendrix of Hartsville, SC, sisters, Dorothy H. (Fred) Dillon, Vonceil H. Holloman and Belva H. (Gino) Prozzi all of Hartsville, SC, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents listed above, also, children, Eddie McManus, Chris McManus, brothers, Buddy Hendrix, Pete Hendrix, a sister, Mae O’Neal, grandchild, Michael Walden and great grandchild, Elijah Demby.

The family will receive friends 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the home of Mrs. McManus.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM, Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, Cheraw, SC. Burial will be in Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery, McBee, SC.
