Teresa Dubree Ingram, 62 passed away Friday May 11, 2018. She was known by family and friends as ‘Sweet T.’ She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Bessie Dubree.
Teresa is survived by husband Chip Ingram, daughters Shana Lane, Tara (Jason) Garrick and stepson Charlie (Jacque) Ingram. Grandchildren Dylan Brown, McKenna Lane, Ty Lane, and Levi Garrick. Brothers Lawrence (Margie) Dubree, Leonard Dubree, Ernie (Carol) Dubree of Hardinsburg, KY. Sisters Tavia Mattingly of Hardinsburg KY, Sylvia (Lonnie) Maske of Alabaster, AL and Dee Powers of Cloverport, KY.
Teresa was born on May 14, 1955 and grew up in Cloverport, KY. She received her bachelor’s degree from Francis Marion University and master’s from the University of South Carolina. She was a beloved 5th grade school teacher for many years at Cheraw Intermediate School.
Her passions were the love of family and friends, her home state of Kentucky, traveling, sewing, gardening, and having fun with friends.
Teresa’s trademark was her beautiful smile and gentle soul. Walking was one of her greatest passions, resulting in the Town of Cheraw naming the walking trail at Arrowhead Park, ‘Sweet T’ walking trail in her honor.
A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held May 15, 2018 at 11am, Chatham Hill Cemetery in Cheraw, SC. The family will receive friends at her home 1302 McMillan Road in Cheraw, SC, May 14, 2018 from 3-7pm.
‘Sweet T’ fought a courageous battle against Alzheimer’s Disease and her wish would be that someday we can find a cure.
