Walter "Buddy" Stevens

Walter Raleigh “Buddy” Stevens, Jr. 75, died Monday, March 23, 2015.  Born in Wallace, NC he was the son of the late Walter R. and Lorraine Piner Stevens.  He was a member of the S.O.S (Society of Shaggers). He was a veteran of the North Carolina National Guard. Mr. Stevens was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Cheraw, SC. He enjoyed working in his yard and being a DJ at parties. He recently assisted with Moree’s Cheraw Country Club with accounting.

Survivors are: his wife, Annette Moore Stevens of Cheraw, SC, sons, Jeffrey (Lorna) Stevens of Rosamond, CA, Brent A. (Dayna) Stevens of Cheraw, SC, sisters, Melva Boozer of Wilmington, NC, Peggy Boney of Wallace, NC, grandchildren, Scott, Nicole, Finley and Ella.

The family will receive friends 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, March 27, 2015at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Cheraw, SC.
