Wilbert Ray Haire, 72, died Thursday, April 25, 2019. Born in Bennettsville, SC, he was the son of the late Mack and Mamie Dunn Haire. He attended White’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church. He loved the Georgia Bulldogs, old cars, camping, building construction and telling jokes.

Surviving are his son, Don (Holly) Haire of Cheraw, SC, daughter, Janet Rivers of Chesterfield, SC, sisters, Allene Quick of Wallace, SC, Lois Stewart of Wallace, SC, Faye Ashburn of Wallace, SC, Leila Haire of Wallace, SC, Maxine (Stewart) Newton of Bennettsville, SC, grandchildren, Averyona Gainey, Elijah Haire, Abigail Haire, Elissa Haire, Raeleigh Rivers, Onnalaya Rivers, co-worker and friend of 50 years, S.J. (Doc) Paul and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, brothers, Ernest Haire, Orville Haire, Zeb Haire, sisters, Jeanie Harrellson, Zena Hamrick, and Margaret Hayes.

The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, April 28, 2019 at White’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church, Wallace, SC. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
