Mr. William Boyd Branch, 78, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Bennettsville Second Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Denny Costner.  Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Lower Macedonia Memorial Gardens in the Teals Mill section of Chesterfield, SC.  A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2014  at Burroughs-Cooper-Kiser Funeral Home.

Born, November 5, 1935 in Fairmont, NC, he was the son of the late William Spurgeon and Hazel Brigman Branch.  Mr. Branch attended the Bennettsville Second Baptist Church, and was a retired machinist at Powel Manufacturing.  He enjoyed a family tradition of taking a fishing trip every October.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting, and was in a CB club.  He also loved raising animals.

Along with his parents listed above, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Gail Jones Branch, and a daughter, Chrissy Branch.

He is survived by a son, William C. Branch and wife, Belinda of Florence; a daughter, Iris Branch Brigman and husband, Carl of Bennettsville; a brother, Willie V. Branch and wife, Judy of Shelby, NC; and grandchildren, Brandon Brigman, Karlie Brigman, Victoria Kelehear, Rebecca Kelehear, and Krista Branch.
