William Moody

William Fortis Moody, 74, died Thursday, December 29, 2016. Born in Hartsville, SC he was the son of the late Charles F Moody and the late Ollie Edna Padgett Moody. He was a member of the Cheraw Moose Lodge and attended church when he could. He enjoyed NASCAR, football, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved his trusty companion “L.J” (his Chihuahua).

Surviving is a son Glenn (Jamie) Moody of Hartsville, SC, daughters, Sonja (Robert) Cox of Leonardtown, MD, Melissa (James) Tarasiewicz of Chesterfield, SC, a sister, Barbara Lee Kratz of Staten Island, NY, grandchildren, Kristen Cox, Joshua Cox, Gunnar Cox, Laura (Brad) Coggins, Christopher (Tiffany) Moody, Brandon Moody, Joey Tarasiewicz, Lily Tarasiewicz, Jacob Tarasiewicz, great grandchildren, Easton Moody, Ashlyn Coggins and Sarah Coggins.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

Officiating the service will be Terry Smith and James Tarasiewicz.
