William "Bill" Lambert

William “Bill” Wesley Lambert, 77, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. Born in Darlington, SC, he was the son of the late Paul Cleveland Lambert and Doris Mae Therrell Lambert. He was an US Air Force Veteran and served during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of North Cheraw Baptist Church and worked in grocery retail for 30+ years. He enjoyed NASCAR, watching the Minnesota Vikings, New York Yankees, and University of South Carolina Gamecocks. He was a hard worker who enjoyed yard work, gardening, and woodworking. He instilled a strong work ethic in both of his children.

Surviving is his wife (of 54 years), Gloria Ruth Laundreaux Lambert, of Cheraw, SC, a son, Adam (Ashley) Lambert of Cheraw, SC, daughter Tish (David, Sr.) Hitesman of Cheraw, SC, sisters, Shirley Lewis of Patrick, SC, Paulette (Robert) Herres of Brandon, FL, grandchildren, David Hitesman, Jr., Wesley Lambert, Kati Lambert, Jonathan Lambert and a great-grandchild, Braxton Crowley.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above and a brother-in-law, Vernon Lewis.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 25, 2019 at North Cheraw Baptist Church, Cheraw, SC.

Immediately following the service, the family will receive family and friends in the fellowship hall of North Cheraw Baptist Church.
