William Russell "Buddy" Board

William Russell “Buddy” Board, 78, died Friday, July 10, 2015. Born in Cheraw, SC he was a son of the late Harry Atwood Sr. and Bessie Helen Wallace Board and the widower of Virginia “Jenny” Board. He was a member of Cheraw First Baptist. He enjoyed deep-sea fishing and working. Mr. Board loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his daughters, Elaine (Jimmy) Hodges of Hartsville, SC, Laurie (Ronnie) Jordan of Marion, SC, a brother, Harry Atwood Board, Jr. of Cheraw, SC, a grandchild, Krista Lane Hodges of Hartsville, SC, many nieces and nephews and a special family friend Betty Brooks Teal.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife listed above, also, brothers, Wallace Harding Board, James Henry Board, sisters, Edna Earle Turnage, Myrtle Louise Lord and Hazel Board.

The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, July 13, 2015 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC. Burial will be in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.
